    The American citizens section
    That’s the department of the consulate that is concerned with serving the American citizens present in Fiji. For example: they can order forms for issuing passports, renew their passports, add extra visa pages, extend their passport validity, report stolen passports and green cards and fill these forms then a counselor officer visits Tonga to collect these forms and applications in scheduled times .

    Beside passport services the consulate (VPP) offers useful information on services like birth registration of American citizens, notary services for documents to be used in the United States, reporting of death of American citizen and adoption of Fijian children. One of the important services that the consulate (VPP) does is the voting service for American citizens overseas. Along with the services the consulate provides the American citizens with very useful information about medical care and where they can find hospitals and

    doctors in Fiji also the consulate provides the citizens with list of attorneys if needed in any case. The consulate offers help in cases of emergency by providing a 24 hours phone number to report your emergency to the duty officer in charge.

    Immigrant visa to the United States
    Immigration to the United States is subjected to many rules and requirements. Applying to the immigrant visa is done in the physical consulate office in Suva, if you are eligible to one of the following categories: immediate relative to American citizen, fiancé (e) of American citizen, special immigrant and diversity lottery
    The diversity lottery electronic draw is done every year on November / December, on preceding October the United States government announces the rules for this lottery and this rule may change every year due to security matters.
